QL School is a place created with a passion for effective and thoughtful language learning. Since 2008, we’ve been teaching based on our proprietary QL SpeakSmart method, which blends hands-on practice, experience, and a modern approach to education.

From the very first class, we focus on speaking, understanding, and confidently using the language. We work in small groups, in a friendly atmosphere, with an individual approach tailored to each learner— whatever their age or level.

The Idea

It all started with a real, personal need. I was looking for a language school for my son—one that actually teaches, not just entertains. A place where children’s laughter doesn’t drown out their progress, and without chaos hiding a lack of results.

The alternative? Kitchen-table tutoring. Grey, repetitive, and missing that spark.

So, I created a space that brings together the best of all worlds: a welcoming atmosphere, a smart teaching system, and tangible results. Because school isn’t just time spent in class—it’s an investment meant to bring real growth.

Our Story

It all began with Dominik—my son. The very first version of QL SpeakSmart was created for him. Today, he speaks English fluently and with confidence. And the method that helped him? It’s now empowering hundreds of other students.

Tested, refined, and used every single day—this isn’t theory. It’s real-world practice that works.

THE BEGINNING OF THE QLS METHOD

When nothing else works, you create your own.

The SpeakSmart method—and the supporting techniques—were born out of necessity. I created them especially for my eldest son, Dominik.

Despite years of attending various language courses—starting all the way back in preschool—and searching for the very best language schools, his progress was practically nonexistent. I couldn’t find a single approach that truly supported authentic language use, especially spoken communication.

Yet despite his learning difficulties, today he speaks English fluently. It’s helped him in his career and lets him travel the world—confident and free of communication barriers.

The success I achieved while teaching my son has, over the years, proven remarkably effective in helping other QLS and QLE students develop real language skills — including my younger son, now in the third year of high school, studying at an advanced-plus level without needing extra help at home.

We welcome children from the age of 6. We offer specially designed courses for our youngest learners—full of fun, songs, and smart activities.

We don’t “Throw the students in at the deep end!” Our teachers, both Polish and native speakers, help the students to get used to the language at their own pace.

Our groups are small and cosy—usually around 6 students—so every learner gets the attention they need.

We don’t rely on tests. Instead, we continually keep track of students’ progress through regular homework, classroom observations, and parents receive full feedback via our online register or direct contact.
